This sharp PM has solid experience working in a creative group of professionals and has strong people skills to interact with key stakeholders responsible for these projects
Candidates with banking experience or financial industry experience will certainly be at the top of the list. PMP certification would be an asset
This 3 month contract is located in London
There is a possibility that this contract will be extended.
Job Description:
Manage day to day project activities for a complex project
Plan, execute, control and close out project against defined scope and budget
Utilize accepted standards and procedures
Maintain team relationships and team coaching and development
Manage stakeholder expectations
Manage risk and ensure compliance
The successful candidate will be responsible for the oversight and execution of a large initiative with several project stakeholders
Key Accountabilities:
Works autonomously in the management of the unit and collaborates with other business heads to establish and execute on common goals
Manages activities of medium complexity projects
Ensures delivery of projects to the business partner, meeting the approved scope/cost/schedule/quality for the project
Perform a governing role for, ensuring that the proposal, execution, control, deployment, training and hand off, warranty support, and closure to meet schedules
Strong involvement with business project manager and sponsors
Management of small to large projects (ranging in size from $400K to $3M), including multiple internal applications and external vendors
Estimation and planning, risk assessment, contingency planning, tracking and management of progress, issues, budget, risk and resources
Accountability for project budget and time lines
Skills:
Proven leadership skills and experience managing IT projects
Full life cycle development experience
Experience with proven project methodology tools
PMI or ITIL certification is an asset
Expertise in MS Enterprise Project, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint
